Why 'Music in Schools'?
At a time when Music & the Arts are under threat in schools, it is more important than ever that young people should have access to meaningful and diverse musical experiences. That's where Music in Schools
comes in: we can offer one-off or regular workshops in areas of curriculum Music-making that might otherwise be unavailable. Our input is available for KS2, 3 & 4 students.
Music brings people together - it enriches the soul. Music develops listening and motor skills; multiple higher level brain functions are simultaneously active when people are making music, especially in ensembles. Music from other cultures gives us an insight into this cultures; so music can break down barriers. It should therefore be central to children's education!
